Justine Walter
Principal Lawyer
Justine is a critical thinking, dedicated family lawyer who aims to assist clients to achieve the best possible result with the least amount of cost and delay.
Justine believes litigation should be a last resort but is a necessary avenue in some circumstances, and in that regard, she has extensive experience in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Justine has worked almost exclusively in family law since her admission into the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of NSW on 18 February 2011.
Justine has experience in all manner of family law matters relating to married, de facto and same sex couples including property, parenting, maintenance, child support, financial agreements (commonly referred to as pre-nuptial agreements) and divorce.
Justine has a strong background in mathematics and a particular interest in complex property matters and has acted for many high net worth individuals. Justine is also particularly interested in questions of jurisdiction in relation to de facto property matters.
From a parenting perspective, Justine has acted on a number of relocation cases (interstate and international) both advancing and defending such applications. Justine has been involved in complex parenting matters including those with serious allegations of family violence and third party intervenors.
Justine has ancillary experience in the Local Court (primarily domestic violence and minor criminal matters) and the District Court (personal injury) and can assist you with Estate Planning.
