Joanna has worked exclusively in the area of family law since 2013. She has considerable experience in matters involving parenting, matrimonial and de facto property issues, divorce and child support.

Joanna has experience in complex property matters including acting for high net worth clients and appearing in proceedings in the Major Complex Financial Proceedings List in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Joanna has significant experience acting in complex parenting proceedings, including in particular, cases involving domestic violence, mental health and drug and alcohol issues.

Joanna is also experienced in running appeals in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Joanna has a reputation for being empathetic, compassionate and practical.

Prior to becoming a family lawyer Joanna was a commercial litigator at top tier law firms in both Wellington, New Zealand and Sydney. She brings the skills, experience and knowledge gained in that arena to her practice of Family Law.

Joanna is trained in Collaborative Practice.
